Once again, I haven't been doing any posting - my apologies, particularly to Fred who actually seems interested in what I write. Summer is long gone now - it's been a pretty terrific fall here - a few storms as an occasional hurricane went past out at sea but nothing has directly hit us fortunately. So the reinforcement of the dunes done last winter and spring has not really been tested yet.

Last night we attended the Basement Theatre's opening performance of Noel Coward's "Hay Fever" at the Osprey. Excellent set (several Shelburne homes must be missing a few antiques for a while) and costumes, good acting, lots of fun! Here's the look-off. It still needs a light and benches, the landscaping and the area beneath the "roof" of the widow's walk closed in. It looks very impressive though and has a lovely view out to Carter Island lighthouse through the breakwater. In the other direction, it highlights the Streetscape - a small half-dead tree is going to be removed to improve that view.

Fall is glorious in Lockeport - great colours, lots of crisp clear days and reasonably warm - at least compared to Ottawa. We just had 4 over-night visitors from Ottawa. We were expecting them, although we only knew Derek Tam was coming along with 3 friends. They came across yesterday from Bar Harbor on The Cat and arrived in Lockeport at about 5:00PM.
